I am eager and excited for every Sunday and I cant wait to get to church! But just as you experienced Easter morning, Satan throws a curve ball Coach Mark's and my way every week. With the Lords help, we have to make a conscious and positive effort to stay focused on "The Main Thing." I cant tell you how many times I have been rescued....walking along minding my own business and then bang, I am looking up from the bottom of a pit. Unfortunately, there are those who choose to wallow around at the bottom for awhile not wanting to be rescued, but hoping to gather an audiance of hand wringers. Being the victim somehow makes them feel set apart, special. They are the ones Satan uses to throw us off, like on Easter morning before church. Christ is always on time and ready to rescue anyone from sin, life situations and even themselves. Satan wants us to live life in the pits, but praise the Lord, Christ offers His help in keeping us on the right path and to also bless us in the journey. I am glad you didnt let Satan have vicory Sunday morning. You looked beautiful and your smile showed no evidence of prior disappointment. I woke to a rather ugly e-mail sent to a dear friend and myself, dragging out things that should be over and done with--not the greatest way to start Easter. But the service was so fantastic! The words of the message and songs really spoke to me about how Jesus rescues us, even beyond Salvation. He rescues us from the nastiness of our everyday lives. He offers us support and strength so that we can climb the mountains in our path. He gives us courage to overcome our weaknesses, to be more like Him. All we have to do is ask. And even after we've accepted Christ, that little voice doesn't disappear. Satan hates it when people are seeking after God, and he will do anything he can to throw us off.
