His parents, rather than helping guide this young boy through the confusion he is dealing with have decided to allow him to set his own agenda. They are being encouraged by a group I have never heard of before called the TransYouth Family Allies. Apparently their function is to encourage parents to allow their children to go down this path while all the adult supervision stands on the sideline cheering the decision.

But we are coming to a point in our culture where no one believes that someone can speak into your life anymore and show you a better way. It’s bad enough when it’s peer to peer, but when adults, and more specifically parents, don’t believe they can guide a child into a better way, our future is in deep trouble.
