I just love the way it reads. One way I've tried to be intentional about standing out for Christ is my interaction with coworkers. I really focus on 2 things: not gossiping and being direct and honest. I also try to help out with tasks and verbally witness when I see opportunities, but for some reason God has really burdened me with those 2 main things--gossip and honesty. I work in a field where manipulation runs rampant, so I think God shines through direct honesty. Another thing that stood out to me while I read Ephesians 4 was this passage: 14Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. 15Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. Wow. I'm not gonna lie--this year I've been sea-sick from all the tossing about on the waves! Not so much by winds of teachings, but by the "cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming." I have a lot of growing up "into Him" to do. I just have to trust this period of time is happening for a reason, and maybe it's to learn some important lessons that will be necessary for my future in ministry. Not to mention it's teaching me more about God, myself, and the nature of man. Ephesians 4 is one of my favorite passages. I just love the way it reads.
