Do You Sense What I Sense?
We are counting down days now…. not much time left. I am trusting and believing that God wants to do wonderful things. Here’s a sample…
On Sunday morning we had a young lady as a guest. She has recently moved here and finished college. She suggested that we consider beginning a young adult ministry. Obviously we don’t have many young single, freshly-out-of-college adults in our church. But we are on the verge of inviting many new people into our church. So I told her that I would pray specifically for more people in her age group to come…which I did right there on the spot with her. After I prayed, with tears in her eyes, she said, “I think I’m supposed to tell you that if you pray for them they will come. But I don’t think that necessarily means people my age. I’m not a prophet or anything like that… I just think God wants me to tell you that he wants to do more than you are expecting.”
That truly, deeply excites me. When people who are brand new to our church sense what God wants to do that lights my fire. And I need that this week. This week has already proven to be a bear trying to settle my mind and wrestle with all of the final details and things that need to get accomplished and be completed. But I will push through this because I know God is ready to bless…you can feel it.
Change is in the air…..And God is doing the moving!

I never told you this, Coach, but the first day I walked into the church, I sensed in my soul the Holy Spirit telling me that this church needed to pray. It was such a strong sense that certain times when Damien was here and I still lived there and I would visit, I literally had to hold myself down in the chair not to get up and pray with and for people in the middle of service. When I returned back to Michigan and told my Pastor back home about it he laughed and called me a spiritual loose cannon. I wish I had told you then so that you could know this was true.
